Last Friday, I received an e-mail from my mother-in-law that started with, "This may sound crazy, but would you and the girls like to go to Disneyland tomorrow?" I know this sounds like an obvious "YES," but I knew Adam wouldn't be able to go and I was sad he would miss the girls' first Disney visit. Quickly, he and I decided that we shouldn't pass up this opportunity. He wants to take us to Disney WORLD when the girls are a bit older anyway. So, my mother-in-law and I decided to call up my mom and make it an all girls Disney weekend.
On Saturday, we woke up and flew out to Orange County (where my good friends, the "Housewives" live). We had a great day enjoying sunny California.
Sunday was our Disneyland day. We had special reservations at the park, before it opened, to eat breakfast with the princesses. That was AMAZING!! I am so glad that I recorded the conversations the girls had with the princesses. Every princess was so sweet and beautiful. During the Princess Meet & Greet, the girls got every princess to autograph their books and we took many pictures. The girls really enjoyed the rides. They are not afraid of adventures. Surprisingly, Birkley could ride a lot of rides. Her favorite? TEA CUPS! Fallon loved everything and avoided any ride that looked "boring." Her favorite? SPACE MOUNTAIN. Mine, too!! We were at Disneyland for 13 hours that day. I loved every second.
On Monday, we relaxed at the beach where the girls enjoyed the sand and chilly water. I have a feeling that Fallon can easily be a "California Surfer Girl." Our plane left California that evening. This trip was fantastic and amazing in so many ways. The best memory of all is that Fallon and Birkley went to Disneyland with their mom and BOTH of their very loving, very generous grandmothers.
