I can't believe how long it has been since my last post! The holiday season was so action-packed, fun-filled, and full that I guess I needed time to unwind and reflect. Let's see, I think it all began with the girls' Christmas shows. They were scheduled for the same night and I had developed a plan that would allow me to hopefully make both. I sent the camera with Adam and Birkley just in case I didn't make it...so I only have pics on my phone from Fallon's show. I took Fallon to her show while Adam dressed and prepared Birkley for her performance. Fallon looked beautiful, took the stage, and sang her heart out. When she was finished, I snatched her from her class, threw her (safely) in the car, and raced over the mountain to see Birkley...literally over the mountain (we have those here). Luckily, I arrived before Birkley's class performed. When her class walked in, she looked terrified. Actually, I could tell she was looking for us and I knew she was panicking because the crowd was too big and the lights were too bright. Yet, she carefully followed her teacher's instructions and sang...until the microphone got a little too close to the speaker. The loud, piercing screech was the last straw for Birkley. She teared up and her teacher carried her out when the class was finished. When she saw me, she let out a Lifetime Movie Channel, "MOMMA!" She reached out for me in a very dramatic fashion. Her teacher, who I love, told me not to worry. I stayed in my seat, as painful as it was. Sure enough, Birkley came out to finish the show. Here are some pics Adam took that night. You will be able to identify "Before Show" and "After Show."
