New York City ~ Christmas!

Adam has always planned amazing trips, one of his many talents. The Christmas trip to NYC was no exception. Every detail of the trip is so important to him. He wanted nothing but the best for the girls and me. He made all of my dreams come true. From the hotel in Time Square (where he asked me to marry him - Time Square that is, not the hotel) to the Rockettes and the Nutcracker ballet, to The Tavern on the Green (R.I.P.) - everything was amazing...and came so close to not happening. Yes, we had hoped for snow so the girls could get the full effect of the NYC Christmas but we did not mean a blizzard. The Northeast got blasted the day before our trip; flights were cancelling left and right. I thought we were doomed. We kept checking our flight, everything kept cancelling EXCEPT that flight. We drove to Nashville to catch the plane and I prepared myself during the drive for a cancelled flight. The next thing I knew, we were boarding the plane...on time. When we arrived at the Newark airport, and I saw the snow that had been dumped there, I couldn't believe we had made it. When we got to the terminal, we had to wait to exit the plane because the jet bridge had actually frozen and they couldn't move it to the plane's door. That was a small price to pay for being fortunate enough to be on the one plane to make it there that day. My Christmas Miracle. I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking. Thank you, Adam, for taking us to this winter wonderland. The deep snow, the beautiful buildings, Christmas magic...a trip I will never forget.
