It was so wonderful to have my parents here for a few days. We did some tourist type activities, but enjoyed hanging out also. The Constitution Village is a fun place to learn a lot about Alabama's history. Since the Alabama Crimson Tide were playing on Saturday, we pretty much had all of downtown to ourselves. If Alabama and/or Auburn are playing, you don't see a soul. We got a personal tour. My parents experienced the SLOW southern speech of the Alabama-born tour guides. We had to substitute a movie and shopping for a rainy Pumpkin Patch. We'll try the Cotton Pickin' Pumpkin Patch next weekend. Yes, that is the real name. As always, good-byes were hard. We will all meet up again next month in Chicago!
