Fallon loves cheerleading. I was very excited to see her first show. She came out with her squad and performed several cheers and jumps. Then, coach announced that it was time for individual performances. Wow! Fallon is a great deal younger than the other girls so I was anxious to see her perform. Let me say, first, Fallon has always impressed me with her maturity and composure for someone so young. She truly sees the task at hand as opposed to an audience; she is so confident. I hope she always seeks knowledge and new skills the way she does now.
When Coach called Fallon to the center of the gym, I could see hesitation. Every other girl walked to the center and performed. When coach prompted her again, Fallon said what was troubling her. "I would like to start by running in and doing my cartwheel," she said. Amazing! She proceeded to make an entrance and complete her solo.
